There are four free sources: the eight-day login track (880 Gems per cycle), the one-time free reward panel (25 Gems), the ALIEN code (200 Gems), and finishing a run.
A brand-new account can stack the first three for roughly 1,105 Gems in week one. At 40 Gems a spin, that is about 27 pulls on the class wheel.

The free reward panel — 25 Gems, two minutes
This is the fastest one-time injection in the game and most new players miss it. Open the FREE REWARD panel and complete both tasks; it only pays out when both are done.
- Press LIKE THE GAME in the panel, then give the experience a thumbs up on its Roblox page.
- Press JOIN THE GROUP and join the Garage Games Roblox group.
The eight-day login track
The REWARDS menu holds the bulk of your free Gems, and the payouts are heavily back-loaded. Day 2 and Day 8 together are worth more than the other six days combined.

Day 8 alone is 500 Gems — 56.8 percent of the entire cycle. Missing the eighth day does not cost you a day, it costs you more than half the track.
The ALIEN code
ALIEN is the only working code in the game and it gives 200 Gems plus 200 Alien Coins. Redeem it from the Codes button on the right side of the screen, typed in capitals.
There are no expired codes to worry about, because no code has ever stopped working. Garage Games announces new ones in its Discord on no fixed schedule, usually alongside updates.
Completing runs
Clearing the entire haystack and collecting the needle awards Gems as the completion reward, along with your run time.
In theory this is the main Gem faucet. In practice it is out of reach for most players — Roblox badge data shows only 22.8 percent have ever finished a single run.
So for the large majority, the login track and one-time rewards are effectively the whole economy.
What 1,105 Gems actually buys
Stacking the login track, reward panel and code gives a new account roughly 1,105 Gems in its first week. At 40 Gems per spin at the Classes station, that is about 27 spins.
Across 27 spins the odds work strongly in your favour for the useful classes. Forkmaster, Demolitionist and Drone Specialist together account for 17 percent of the wheel, so landing at least one A-tier class is close to certain.
Ultimate Farmer is a different story. At 0.1 percent, 27 spins gives you about a 2.7 percent chance — plan around the A tier, not the S tier.
What Gems are spent on
Gems are the only currency that survives a run. Cash is spent inside a run on tools and upgrades and is gone when the run ends; Gems travel back to the lobby with you.
What is not in dispute is that class spins cost 40 Gems each and that unlocks are permanent with no repeat cost.
