Search For The Needle Best Time

The game times every clear and shows your completion time when you collect the needle. Beating your best time is one of the three goals the developers list in the official description.
There is no verified world record, though. No leaderboard data has been published anywhere and no speedrun community has formed yet, so anyone quoting a record time is not citing a source.
The timer is an official goal, not a community one
The game's own description lists three objectives: search through the hay, find the hidden needle, and beat your best time. Timing is built into the design rather than bolted on by players.
Mechanically, completing a run rewards Gems and displays your completion time. That makes the timer a first-class feature with a persistent personal best to beat.
So unlike most Roblox games where speedrunning is a self-imposed challenge, here the game is asking you to do it.
Start with a class
The clearest published advice on going fast is to sort your class out before you attempt a serious run. Each class is a permanent passive that can significantly cut completion time.
| Class | Roll chance | Effect on run time |
|---|---|---|
| Ultimate Farmer | 0.1% | Every other class bonus at once, plus Golden Harvest |
| Forkmaster | 9% | Pitchfork swings +25% hay, upgrades 25% cheaper |
| Demolitionist | 7% | Dynamite radius +20%, 10% chance to split into three |
| Drone Specialist | 1% | Permanent drone, +30% speed, +40% carry |
| Pack Mule | 25% | +50% bag capacity — fewer trips to the cow |
Spins cost 40 Gems at the Classes station and unlocks are permanent. Forkmaster and Demolitionist are the realistic targets, since they buff the two tools the run is built around.
Why Demolitionist suits a timed run
The largest time sink in a run is not clearing hay, it is walking to the cow when your bag fills. Every sell trip is dead time on the clock.
Dynamite attacks that directly, because blasted hay lands loose on the ground instead of going into your bag. You can strip large sections without the carry limit interrupting you.
Demolitionist amplifies exactly that property, which is why a Dynamite-led approach is the mainstream fast strategy rather than a niche one.
The upgrade order under time pressure
Run income is capped, so buying in the wrong order is not recoverable. The sequence that works is the same one that works for a normal clear, just executed without hesitation.
- Hold first.
- Grasp and Speed to at least two levels each.
- Bag capacity in the shed, as soon as you can afford it.
- Dynamite — the point where the run opens up.
- Pitchfork, upgraded continuously to the finish.
Take every rainbow flake you see. They count as multiple flakes and sell for double, making them the only free acceleration available mid-run.

How long a clear actually takes
There is no official figure and no leaderboard to check. The only public end-to-end reference we can point at is a recorded 100 percent completion run that ran 1 hour 21 minutes including preparation and commentary.
If you want a target, your own previous completion time is the only honest one available right now.
Why there is no world record
We searched for record and leaderboard content across both Google and YouTube. Nothing came back except ordinary playthroughs and general tips — no record attempts, no leaderboard captures, no speedrun community.
That is not surprising for a game created on 23 August 2026. Speedrun scenes take months to form, and this one is weeks old.
It does mean any page quoting a specific world record is quoting nothing. We will publish times here when they can be sourced and verified.
Most players have no best time at all
Roblox badge data shows the Found the Needle! badge has been awarded 3,092,594 times against 13,577,221 players — about 22.8 percent.
So roughly 77 percent of the playerbase has never completed a run and therefore has no recorded time to improve on. The developers even wrote Impossible into that badge's description.
If that is you, the useful goal is not a fast clear but a first one. Get the upgrade order right, finish once, and you will have a baseline worth attacking.
