Search For The Needle Badges

There are exactly four badges. Welcome! for loading the game, Found the Needle! for clearing a full haystack, Finished Chapter 2! for escaping the basement, and Find the UFO — the only one with no official description and no known method.
Three of the four have clear requirements. Find the UFO does not, and Roblox publishes nothing about how to trigger it.
All four badges
| Badge | Official description | Awarded |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome! | Play the game to get this Badge! | 13,577,221 |
| Found the Needle! | You found the Needle, Impossible! | 3,092,594 |
| Find the UFO | (no description published) | 2,405,364 |
| Finished Chapter 2! | You found the key and escaped the basement! | 1,025,828 |
That is the complete list. The badge endpoint returns all four with no others hidden behind it, so any page listing more is describing a different game.
Rarity, using Welcome! as the baseline
Because Welcome! is awarded simply for loading the game, its count doubles as a headcount of everyone who has ever played. That turns the other three counts into completion rates.
| Badge | Share of players | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome! | 100% | Automatic |
| Found the Needle! | 22.8% | Long but achievable |
| Find the UFO | 17.7% | Unknown trigger |
| Finished Chapter 2! | 7.6% | Rarest in the game |
Finished Chapter 2! is the real trophy here. More than 92 percent of players have never got it, which is a steeper filter than the game's core objective.
Welcome!
Load into the game. That is the entire requirement, and the official description says as much.
Its only real use is as a denominator — every other percentage on this page is calculated against it.
Found the Needle!
Clear the entire haystack and collect the needle. There is no shortcut, because the needle only appears once the pile is fully removed.
The developers named the badge description Impossible themselves, which is a fair summary of a run through a million pieces of hay. At 22.8 percent, more than three in four players have never got there.
The fastest route is the standard upgrade order: Hold, then two levels each of Grasp and Speed, then Dynamite, then the Pitchfork until the pile is gone.
Finished Chapter 2!
The official description spells out both halves of the requirement: you found the key and escaped the basement. Both are needed, and the second is the one that traps people.
- Dig the basement key out of the haystack — Dynamite makes this dramatically faster.
- Pull all three colour-coded levers by following the coloured wires on the floor.
- Solve the three puzzles in the hidden room to free the Alien and shut off the lasers.
- Equip the key, climb the ladder and open the trapdoor.
Find the UFO — the one nobody has solved
This badge is official and enabled, with ID 3010990595387190, but Roblox publishes no description, no location and no trigger for it. It is the only badge in the game treated as a secret.
A UFO does appear at the end of Chapter 2, which has led many people to assume the cutscene awards it. The award counts rule that out: 2,405,364 players hold this badge against 1,025,828 who have finished Chapter 2.
Since more than twice as many people have the UFO badge as have finished the chapter, there has to be a separate and easier trigger somewhere. Nobody has published a reproducible route to it, and we are not going to invent one.
Getting all four
Three of the four are a matter of time. Load in for Welcome!, run the upgrade order to the end of a pile for Found the Needle!, then work the basement in order for Finished Chapter 2!.
The fourth is currently a research problem rather than a challenge. Until a route is verified, full completion is not something anyone can reliably walk you through.
