The Chapter 2 basement is one room built around a central haystack, with three colour-coded levers spaced around its edge, a hidden puzzle room, a laser-blocked ladder and a trapdoor exit at the top.

You do not need coordinates to navigate it. Coloured wires run along the floor and each one leads to its matching lever, so following a wire is the game's own built-in navigation.

Follow the wires, not a minimap

The single most useful navigation fact about this map is that it wires itself. Coloured cables are laid across the floor, and each colour terminates at the lever of the same colour.

That beats any set of coordinates, because it works regardless of where you happen to be standing and it cannot drift out of date when the developers move something.

The red lever is the one most players walk straight past. It sits behind the Sell board, which hides it from the direction you normally approach the cart from.

Illustrated guide Find the key, complete the lever and puzzle objectives, then use the exit. Concept illustration, not a map.

The route through the map

  1. Start at the haystack in the centre and clear it until the basement key turns up. Do this first — the Alien will not interfere while it is still caged.
  2. Follow the green wire behind the haystack to the boxes and pull the green lever.
  3. Follow the red wire to the Sell Hay cart and check behind the Sell board for the red lever.
  4. Follow the purple wire to the Alien's jail, next to the drone equipment, for the purple lever.
  5. Enter the now-open puzzle room and go left for the crystal pedestals. Solve all three puzzles.
  6. With the lasers down, equip the key, climb the ladder and open the trapdoor.

The part of the map that blocks you

Geometrically the exit is simple: ladder, then trapdoor. Functionally it is gated twice over, and the two gates are independent of each other.

The trapdoor needs the basement key. The ladder needs the laser trap switched off, which only happens when all three puzzles are solved. Having one without the other leaves you stuck at the bottom of the room.

So the map has a hard ordering baked into it even though the room itself is open. You can wander anywhere, but you cannot leave until both conditions are met.

Clearing the central haystack

The key is buried the same way the needle is in Chapter 1, with no marker and no audio cue. Only clearing hay reveals it, so your tools decide how long this part of the map takes.

Dynamite is the standout here because it clears a wide area at once, and blasted hay lands loose on the floor rather than filling your bag, which sidesteps the carry-capacity bottleneck entirely. The Vacuum is the other wide-area option.

If you are running the basement on hand upgrades alone, expect this step to dominate your time in the room.

What is in the map that you cannot use yet

The room also changes. Roblox's API shows the game was last updated on 11 September 2026, and Garage Games has shipped a major update roughly every five days since launch — so any layout detail is version-dependent by nature.

One more unknown worth flagging: servers hold up to 20 players, and whether the haystack and levers are shared or per-player is not documented anywhere official. We have not tested it, so we are not going to assert either way.
